Biography of Jacques Gervais
Jacques Gervais is Executive Vice-President of Devcas Inc. Having gained extensive experience in financial planning, sales and consulting, Mr. Gervais now leverages his professional expertise to help shareholders achieve their merger and acquisition goals.
Mr. Gervais has an MBA and a graduate degree in international development from the University of Ottawa, a degree in communications and public relations from the University Jean Moulin in Lyon, France, and a Bachelor of Social Science and Journalism from Laval University, Quebec.
Mr. Gervais has worked as a business development director for Desjardins, as an investment advisor for Laurentian Bank Securities and BMO Nesbitt Burns, as the managing director of the Bois-Francs Chamber of Commerce, as an industrial commissioner for the Economic Expansion Bureau of the Montreal Urban Community, as an international business cooperation advisor for the Secor Group and as an economic journalist for the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
He received the Excellence Award from the Canadian Securities Institute, as well as first prize in the Dalhousie International Business Case Competition and second prize at the Concordia Business Case Competition. Mr. Gervais served as president of Unicef Montérégie and was named an ambassador of Unicef Quebec.
